A Virtual Start to 2021

After the majority of last season became a virtual one, sadly the 2021 season will also begin in a virtual sense and it began on Sunday with a spooky irony as Wigan Warriors visited Salford Red Devils at the AJ Bell Stadium, a whole year plus one day since my last physical RL attendance which saw a loss on Friday 13 March.

This time around the result was the same albeit with a 20-6 score line due to a mix of youth and experience in Warriors squad. There was a unique first through in viewing a live match on the Xbox One as allowed better viewing quality than on the phone or laptop.

It was nice to experience live action again and hopefully the SL season opener won't feel too weird with it being the first in a long time that's not a physical one. Also, hopefully the actual return to physical attending will not be too long a wait.
