The round opened on Thursday night with Huddersfield Giants claiming a 36-18 win over Salford Red Devils. Salford started superbly with Tyrone McCarthy and Ken Sio crossing for early tries to open up an 8-0 lead. The Giants replied with scores from Matty English and Louis Senior and with Lee Gaskell converting the former, they led 10-8 into the interval.

Darnell McIntosh crossed within four minutes of the restart to make it 14-8 before Kris Welham replied for 14-12 just five minutes later. Hudds took control with three tries in 13 minutes, Kruise Leeming, Ukuma Ta'ai and Jake Wardle touching down with McIntosh converting twice for 30-12. Salford cut the gap with a second try from McCarthy which Krisnan Inu converted but to no avail as McIntosh claimed his second try late on and converted for a third time to confirm a 36-18 victory.

Friday night began with the televised action featuring a Yorkshire derby as Leeds Rhinos secured an 18-10 win over Castleford Tigers. The Rhinos opened the scoring with a Trent Merrin try and Liam Sutcliffe conversion for 6-0 inside 20 minutes. The one score lead remained into the interval with Jack Walker extending the Rhinos lead four minutes after the restart, Sutcliffe converting for 12-0 before adding a penalty goal before the hour mark for a 14-0 advantage.

The Tigers hit back with a rapid three minute brace from James Clare and with Jordan Rankin converting the latter, they cut the gap to 14-10 but it was sheer consolation as Robert Lui marked his Rhinos debut in style with a 73rd minute try to wrap up the 18-10 win.

In attendance as Wigan Warriors strolled to a 52-10 win over Hull Kingston Rovers at the DW Stadium, Wigan took an early 8-0 lead with a Liam Farrell try which Zak Hardaker converted before adding a penalty goal a few minutes later. Rovers replied with Adam Quinlan crossing and Ryan Shaw converting before a Liam Marshall brace saw Hardaker convert the former and then score a self-converted effort for a 24-6 half-time advantage.

Wigan took control in the second half with George Williams and Oliver Gildart crossing either side of Farrell's second score, Hardaker converting the lot for a huge 46-6 lead. Joe Burgess dived over to bring up the half-century at 52-6 but it was to be Rovers who had the final say as Quinlan claimed his second try ten minutes from the end for 52-10.

St Helens maintained their lead at the top with a comfortable 40-12 win at Hull FC. Saints flew out of the blocks with tries from Morgan Knowles and Theo Fages which Lachlan Coote converted for a 12-0 lead inside eight minutes. A self-converted effort from Coote gave the visitors an 18-0 lead into the interval.

The contest seemed to be settled before the hour with Regan Grace, Jack Ashworth and Jonny Lomax crossing ahead of a second score from Coote who converted thrice for six successes and a 40-0 lead. FC had the last say on the score with two tries in three minutes as Jamie Shaul and Ratu Naulago touched down with Marc Sneyd converting both for 40-12.

Saturday afternoon saw Warrington Wolves keep up the pressure at the top with a 36-6 win at London Broncos. The Wolves started well with three scores in the opening quarter, Tom Lineham, Mike Cooper and Bryson Goodwin all crossing with Declan Patton converting the trio for 18-0 before improving a Jake Mamo try on 22 minutes for a huge 24-0 lead.

London's hopes looked to be over before the interval as Jack Hughes and Toby King touched down and with Patton kicking twice, Warrington led 36-0 into half-time. The Broncos actually won the second half with the solitary score which came two minutes after the restart, Matty Fozard crossing and Kieran Dixon converting for a 36-6 final score.

The round ended with a comfortable 44-10 win for Catalans Dragons over Wakefield Trinity at Stade Gilbert Brutus. The Dragons opened up a 10-0 lead inside 17 minutes as Jodie Broughton and Matt Whitley crossed with Sam Tomkins converting just the first effort before he improved a score from Samisoni Langi for 16-0. Trinity replied with a Reece Lyne try which Danny Brough converted for 16-6 before Broughton claimed his second try for a 20-6 lead into the interval.

Broughton completed his hat-trick inside three minutes of the restart with Tomkins converting before adding to a Kenny Edwards try and brace from Tony Gigot as the Dragons led 44-6. Trinity has the final say on the round with a 78th minute effort from Bill Tupou for 44-10.
