After losing to Widnes on Sunday morning, Wigan U16s looked to bounced back on Wednesday night as they hosted Huddersfield U16s but sadly fell to a 26-16 defeat.
Ronan Costello opened the scoring for the Giants with Jack Richardson converting for a 6-0 lead before Alex Bolton crossed for Wigan with Olly Russell making it 6-6 with the conversion and a tight first half from both sides saw them go into the interval level.
Finley Hickey restored the Giants lead in the second half with Richardson converting for 12-6 which then became 26-6 as the Giants ran in tries from Drew Judge-Clark, Jack Duggan and Jake Wardle with Jamie Greenwood adding a single conversion.
Wigan cut the gap late on with an Olly Russell penalty before James Worthington crossed for a try for a 26-16 final score.
