Both sides struck just before the interval with Whitehead claiming her second score which Lisa Taylor converted for 14-12 but Hudds led into the break with Emmi Manning's try which Townend improved for 18-14.
The Giants took control in the second half with two more scores from Brown as she completed her hat-trick with Townend converting for 28-14. Sadly neither club provided further updates so can only assume two further tries both converted by Townend for a 40-14 win.
